The Request of Light, Stop Motion, Umeå Institute of Design, 1 week in 2010


This project was a collaboration with the Advanced Design Visualization program at school We worked in small groups, my group members were Jakob Kumar and Kerim Özkan. The tutors in this project was Timo Arnall and Matt Cottam.
We did brief exercises and were taught different techniques and methods to accomplish different effects with the stop motion technique. We used Dragon Stop Motion during the whole week. On the third day, we started with the final exercise which I present below.

• 2 x 6V light bulbs
• 2 potentiometers (470 Ω LIN)
• 2 sets of 3 x 1,5V AA batteries, serial connected
• 2 neodym magnets

2 feets for the characthers and one metal plate underneath the paper background to prevent too many retakes due to different mistakes.
